Overview
Building a brand
worthy of founders.
TxtCart is an exclusive community for early-stage founders, operators, and investors. When they came to ADG, they had a clear vision but no visual language to match it. The brand needed to feel both premium and approachable ” aspirational, yet grounded in real builder culture.
Over 8 weeks of deep discovery, concept development, and production, we delivered a complete brand identity system that has since become the visual benchmark for founder-led communities globally.
The Challenge
Standing out in
a sea of sameness.
The founder community space was saturated with generic blue-chip aesthetics and corporate positioning. TxtCart needed to feel different ” to signal that it was built by founders, for founders, not by a marketing team in a boardroom.
"We needed a brand that made people feel like they'd arrived somewhere important ” not just another Slack group."
” Nina Wolfe, Founder, TxtCartThe key tension was balancing exclusivity with warmth. Too corporate and it would feel cold. Too casual and it would lose its premium positioning. The answer lay in the details: editorial typography, precise grid systems, and restraint in color usage.
The Process
Strategic before
it was visual.
Every design decision was preceded by strategic thinking. We ran workshops, competitive audits, and audience research before touching a single visual element.
Discovery Workshop
2-day intensive with founding team. Mapped audience archetypes, brand personality spectrums, competitive landscape, and aspirational brand references.
Strategic Foundation
Defined brand position, messaging hierarchy, visual territory, and creative constraints. This document guided every subsequent design decision.
Visual Concepting
Three distinct visual directions, each rooted in the strategic brief. Presented with full rationale, mood boards, and prototype applications.
Refinement & Production
Selected direction refined across all touchpoints: logo variations, typography system, color palette, motion language, and brand guidelines.
The Solution
A brand that
earns its place.
The final identity is built around a wordmark that balances editorial refinement with approachable weight. The custom typeface treatment creates instant recognition while the geometric secondary mark provides flexibility across digital and physical applications.
The color system ” deep navy, off-white, and a single accent of warm gold ” signals the premium without screaming it. The motion language uses slow, deliberate transitions that feel more film than app.
The Results
Numbers that
tell the story.
Within 3 months of launch, the TxtCart brand had become a reference point in the community space ” cited by competitors, copied by peers, and celebrated by members.
